LIM SOON HENG

Macbeth
Since returning to Malaysia, Soon Heng has acted in more than 40 productions. He was involved in an ambitious four productions in 2014, including the mini-series Saloma, in which he played Runme Shaw. Off-stage, Soon Heng produces radio programs. His was last seen playing Shylock in Shakespeare Demystified: The Merchant of Venice 2016.

ANNE JAMES

Anne James has received training in the theatrical arts from Universiti Sains Malaysia and Northwestern University (USA). She is a member of the critically acclaimed Five Arts Centre. She is a much respected actor and dancer (Marion D’Cruz and Dancers) who has performed both locally and internationally. Her last theatrical project with Shakespeare Demystified was Hamlet.

Sukania Venugopal has worked in Malaysia and Singapore for theatre, TV and movie projects. She was in the feature film Talentime, directed by the late Yasmin Ahmad. She performed and directed various productions, including dance dramas with The Temple of Fine Arts in Malaysia, children's theatre with The Jumping Jellybeans, musicals such as Oliver! With the Philharmonic Theater and Puteri Gunung Ledang with Enfinity. Sukania is also a pioneer performer with The Instant Cafe Theatre Company.

TUNG JIT YANG

Recently returned from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama, Jit participated in a six-month residency at theatrethressixty as their Artist-in-Residence. He is now a Director-in-Residence at The Actor's Studio @ The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre. Previous Shakespearean credits include a performance as Gratiano in Shakespeare Demystified’s 2012 production of Merchant of Venice.

Passion, hardwork and fun are the tenets held by this guy. Studying something else altogether in UiTM, the decision to be involved in Performing Arts can be compared to the way people fall in love and make the necessary sacrifice to be together. As of now, Zul has been involved in numerous productions as a producer, actor and stage manager, both onstage and offstage. 

TIKA MU'TAMIR

Tika Mutamir is a passionate performer and a Theatre Arts graduate from Middlesex University, London. She's performed with physical theatre companies and been in international fringe festivals. In Malaysia, she’s worked with an array of theatre companies such as TheatreThreeSixty, TerryandTheCuz and has had the opportunity to perform in established venues such as the Petronas Filharmonik hall.

A graduate in Corporate Business Studies, Nave VJ took a different career path by throwing himself into the performing arts, to follow a passion that had been burning since his early teen years. He has been involved with various local theatre productions for the past 4 years, including MUD KL--the longest running musical in Malaysia. Nave continues to hone his skills by taking classes in adult ballet and vocal training.

DAVID H. LIM

A finance manager, a wannabe-farmer and a performer. David started his journey on stage in 2012 with Dama Orchestra and since then has attended various workshops on Shakespeare, voice, movement and acting. The reason he likes Shakespeare's plays: "You get to play with it yet you gotta use your brain, fun and smart, just like LEGO!". Past Productions with KLSP includes

Kien Lee resigned from his office job in November 2014 to focus all his energy on building up KL Shakespeare Players. He started out as an actor, and gradually progressed to coaching other actors, directing and producing plays. He has conducted workshops at various schools and universities on acting, playing and appreciating Shakespeare, public speaking and building self-confidence.

SAMANTHAN CHEH

Dramaturg
Samantha recently graduated from University College London (UCL) with a BA in English, with a special focus in Medieval Literature and Early Modern Literature. During her London years, Samantha was heavily involved with both university and Off-West End production companies. Samantha has previously volunteered with Shakespeare Demystified. She has a deep interest in experimental and cross-cultural interpretations and productions of Shakespeare.
